The Musei delle Scienze Agrarie (MUSA) signed a 3-year partnership with the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli (MANN) and the Department of Agricultural Science of the University of Napoli Federico II to work together on a series of research programmes, museum installations and cultural events focusing on the ancient agriculture and environment.
The partnership was signed by Paolo Giulierini (General Director of MANN), Matteo Lorito (Director of the Department of Agricultural Science) and Stefano Mazzoleni (Director of MUSA).
Aim of the project is to encourage and support studies and research focusing on the interaction between archaeology and agrarian sciences, ranging from the analysis of items belonging to museum collections to the study of the history of agriculture, and from botanical and archaeobotanical analyses to the reconstruction of ancient agricultural systems.
